Monday Magic – Patterns of Pink!

Lake Michigan December 18 2013

I took this picture several months ago.  What a lovely sunrise over Lake Michigan! As I always say, it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the ever-changing canvas of clouds creates art in its most natural form.  Please click on the picture for the full effect.

Have a wonderful Monday!

You were right about getting the full effect by clicking on the picture! I did not notice the beauty of the snow against the pink sky in the smaller version. It feels so quiet and peaceful! Thanks for the share, Cher!

That’s quite lovely. I’m on the wrong side of Lake Michigan to see sunrise over it, but then I’m kind of the wrong sort of person to see much of a sunrise anyway.

Beautiful! What a magical way to start the day! Although the saying here is ‘Red sky at night, Shepherd’s delight; Red sky in the morning, Shepherd’s warning’. Did you have precipitation during the day?

Thank you so much! Ah yes, I remember that saying, too! I honestly don’t recall whether or not we had precipitation that day, as I took the picture in December! Now I wish I had paid more attention! But I shall now! Maybe we should create a ‘new’ saying using the word, “Pink”; Pink clouds abound, sunshine all (a)round! Oh, that’s not very good! *grin* Hugs, Cher xo

A stunning sight! It’s marvellous how modern technology allows us to capture a small part of the magic of such moments, but also a little sad to think of all those moments of beauty that escape us too…

Oh I agree with you completely. We do need to be in the moment, don’t we? I recall describing to someone how I took much delight in watching a bag floating in the air and how each current took the bag into a rhythm of dance. The person looked at me as if I had 3 heads. However, to me it was a lovely moment! Thank you for your comments!! Cher xo

Lol… I just had visions of you looking up at the bag, head bobbing back and forth, and up and down in sync with it, with people first looking at you quizzically, then up at the bag, then more people looking at them, then to the bag, until there’s a huge crowd of synchronized heads and faces all watching this one bag drifting ‘to fro’ as everything about them comes to grinding halt…
Like the idea of the three heads as well; a silly one, a serious one, and one you could never be quite sure about…
You’ve certainly been a welcome interruption to to a post I’m writing that just isn’t quite working yet…
Enjoy the silliness in the meantime…
        Regards,
        Paul…

You have made my day, Paul! I absolutely love your description! It could be a lovely poem, don’t you think? I love it! Thank you, Paul, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Let’s keep our eyes open for wayward bags and here’s to synchronized heads and faces!!!! Big hugs, Cher xo
