The Friday File………….Orange Delight!

Sunrise Lake Michigan March 6 2015

Well isn’t this an orange delight!  A friend of mine has a wee granddaughter who once commented about the, “Sky Painter”; I don’t think I’ve ever heard it described more accurately.  Can you see the bits of ice on the surface of Lake Michigan?  I regularly see ships out on the horizon and always wonder if they must battle through ice formations.  Today, the glowing and luminescent orange tones permeated almost everything in sight.  Sky Painter indeed!

Great photo! The ice is reflecting nicely. I suppose there are icebreaker ships out there, they are frequent up in the Soo area.

Thank you, John! Ah yes, that must be it. I think perhaps my perspective of Lake Michigan is rather skewed; I must remember there is lots going on out there that cannot be seen *well, at least not by me from this vantage point* 🙂 Cher xo

What an intuitive little girl! It indeed looks like an artist painted the scene. Thanks for this colorful, COLD treat, Cher. 🙂
